Programme Manager, Pader, Uganda

WCUK is recruiting a Programme Manager, Pader (Uganda) who will be responsible for field management and assist in the development of WCUK's Uganda Program.
The Programme Manager, Pader will provide leadership in all areas of implementation including financial management, programme management, security, logistics, HR, partner supervision and capacity building, and overall office management in Pader. S/he will assist the Field Director (Uganda) in expanding in-country programs in Karamoja and Northern Uganda, by writing concept papers and proposals, providing assessment information and support. The Pader Programme Manager will also support the FD, Uganda in the monitoring and evaluation of all projects.

Key Responsibilities Include: o Operations: Serve as key focal point for all WCUK Uganda Logistics, HR, Security, Administration and Finance o Programme Financial Management: Programme planning and development, in line with WCUK's strategy; Programme delivery, to agreed financial standards, time frames and budgets. o Grant Management, reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely adherence to donor and organisational requirements, including child protection policy and monthly programme reporting, by WCUK and partner staff. Providing FD with the information necessary for donor reports. o Communication and Representation: Representing WCUK in external network meetings, to donors and government officials; gathering communication material including case studies for UK based campaigns and communications team. o Fundraising: Support FD in with the information necessary to develop proposals and report to donors, in line with donor schedules. Candidates will be expected to complete a short assessment test. o Second round interviews for selected candidates will be held during week of 19 September, 2011
o Any offer made past the second interview will be conditional on receipt of 3 favourable written references, (from your most recent employer, any other previous employer and a character reference). In case clarification is required post the receipt of complete reference forms, War Child reserves the right to call the referees. o The successful applicant will be expected to undergo a CRB / police check, a medical check for overseas travel purposes, be compliant and sign up to War Child's Child Protection Policy prior to a final offer being made. o Start date: October 2011
